The Engineer Technician will work hand-in-hand with our team to provide support and provisioning of all iOS and MacOS workstations, user accounts, initial device setup for new teammates. The Technician will help liaison any communications that are required with the IT team. You are the first line of support for all requests to the Engineering/OPS team and will help with the buildout, management, and queue administration of a ticketing system. You will work directly with Engineering team on the roll out of software upgrades, patches, and configuration changes, making sure we have a consistent and user-friendly environment.

Description

The Immersive Content Post team is looking for a Post Production Engineer Technician that will be responsible for the implementation and support of end-user facing technologies including, but not limited to: MacOS/MacBook and iOS/iPhone device support, printers, MDM Self Service system, video production technologies like Resolve and Premiere, Production Asset Management, as well as a variety of other tools and resources that support our operation. This position will be a combination of traditional IT support and post-production support. This role will be at the forefront of the Engineering team and will field requests from end-users and direct them to the appropriate team. Duties include working with Engineering team to maintain system images for various workstations and servers, along with planning and implementation of a wide variety of software applications and corresponding upgrades.

Key Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Deep understanding and familiarity with iOS and MacOS.
  • Works well in a team environment. Must be comfortable in an ambiguous environment, providing outstanding support.
  • Perform well-organized and timely deployments of software and hardware upgrades, operating system changes, security updates and patches from end-user systems to production workstations
  • Has a real passion for customer service and ownership of the whole support experience.
  • Ability to build high-quality and easy to follow documentation where none exists. Must also be able to update existing documentation.
  • Self-starter who can work autonomously.
  • Open to flexible hours based on production and maintenance schedules, which may include weekends, late nights, and holidays.
  • Other duties as assigned by leadership.
  • You will be joining a tightly coordinated team that helps produce a high volume of content and operates under tight deadlines tasks.

Requirements

  • Deep knowledge of hardware and software.
  • 1-5+ years’ experience in a desktop support or help desk support role.
  • Solutions-based and effective communicator.
  • Experience supporting MacOS / iPhone, Pages, Numbers, Quip, Mac Mail, Safari, Word, and Excel.
  • A basic understanding of networking technologies like IP / subnetting / DHCP and DNS configurations is required.
  • Strong computer software aptitude and interest, with an ability to learn new concepts quickly and independently.
  • High level customer service skills• Experience with SANs, NAS, and shared storage is a plus.
  • Production or Post-production engineering experience preferred, but not required.
  • Certifications are a plus.
