Job Title: Apple TV+ Social Media Lead – Awards

 

Apple TV+ is seeking a Social Media Lead for Awards to join its social team and drive high-impact campaigns across our slate of contender titles during awards seasons. This role will lead the social strategy and execution for some of the most prestigious moments in entertainment, from nominations to wins, across film and series.

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead social FYC (For Your Consideration) strategy and execution across all award-contending titles, aligning with broader campaign and platform strategies.
  • Drive all social activity around key announcement and celebration moments (e.g., Oscars, Emmys, BAFTAs), ensuring tone, timing, and creative are on point.
  • Own the briefing process for creative agencies—ensuring clarity around audience, tone, platform, and awards messaging.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with design, events, creative, publicity, marketing, PR, and AV to deliver cohesive, campaign-specific social plans.
  • Serve as the day-to-day lead for social during awards season—overseeing planning, approvals, asset delivery, publishing, and real-time needs.
  • Support on-the-ground content capture ideation and execution with talent and creators at FYC events, screenings, and major award shows.
  • Build and manage strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, creative agencies, and talent teams.
  • Track performance, generate insights, and optimize for future campaigns—helping to evolve the awards social work-stream in the long term.
  • Monitor trends, competitor campaigns, and emerging opportunities to keep our approach innovative and relevant.
  • Bring bold, strategic, and creative ideas that elevate campaign storytelling while staying grounded in premium brand standards.

Qualifications

  • 7–10 years of experience in social media strategy or digital marketing, ideally within entertainment, streaming, or prestige film/TV.
  • Proven success leading integrated social campaigns across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, X/Twitter, and YouTube.
  • Deep understanding of awards culture, timelines, and key beats across film and television (Oscars, Emmys, guilds, critics, etc.).
  • Experience working with high-profile talent, influencers, and content creators—especially in live or event settings.
  • Familiarity with creative development and production workflows for social assets.
  • Ability to translate brand strategy into impactful social content and campaign messaging.
  • Skilled in Keynote with the ability to clearly communicate strategy and creative concepts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong grasp of platform trends, audience engagement, and social storytelling best practices.
