Role Description

This role is a contract assignment at Palo Alto Networks. Contractors will not be employed by Palo Alto Networks but through our trusted staffing partners.  

Palo Alto Networks is looking for a Marketing Manager (Contract) who will be a key player in the transformation of the cybersecurity market, working with stakeholders across the company to fuel awareness and demand. You will be a results-oriented, performance-driven Regional Marketing Manager, responsible for building, managing, and executing marketing plans for your assigned US regions and segments. This position requires a strategic, highly organized, and execution-focused marketer who thrives in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

  • Location - Santa Clara, CA, Plano TX or Reston, VA (Hybrid)
  • Duration -  12 months

Your Impact

As a Regional Marketing Manager, you will lead marketing initiatives that support the creation of leads, drive velocity in marketing mid-funnel, drive conversion into pipeline, and progress pipeline into bookings across the Strategics, Majors, and Enterprise account sets for the US market. You will develop, refine, and orchestrate regional plans based on the US marketing strategy, aligning with business objectives and Go-to-Market priorities.

  • Lead Generation & Pipeline Acceleration:
    • Planning and executing lead generation programs across multiple digital channels, including digital media programs, webinars, and virtual summits.
    • Organizing and hosting webinars and virtual events to engage customers and generate pipeline and leads.
    • Implementing marketing initiatives tailored to specific segment requirements by account, customer personas, and markets.
    • Collaborating with sales and data/analytics teams to identify high-potential accounts across segments that align with strategic goals.
  • Account-Based Marketing (ABM):
    • Execute strategic ABM initiatives for top-tier accounts, designing and executing targeted campaigns.
    • Driving personalized messaging, content, and offers tailored to individual
    • customer accounts, ensuring alignment with sales objectives.
    • Implementing ABM content that addresses specific pain points and objectives of each target account through multi-channel programs (email, digital, webinars, and events).
  • CXO Engagement:
    • Partnering with Sales Leaders to develop and execute high-impact CXO engagement events that drive meaningful conversations and pipeline acceleration.
    • Further elevating and building sustained CXO relationships across segments through thought leadership initiatives and high-touch engagement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Working closely across multiple cross-functional teams including the NAM campaign hub, global media team, data/insights team, ABM team, and reporting teams.
    • Collaborating with sales teams to align on strategy, focus, and priorities for your region and segments.
    • Ensuring seamless coordination between internal teams and external vendors to deliver high-quality marketing experiences.
  • Program Measurement & Optimization:
    • Providing comprehensive program measurement and reports on marketing programs.
    • Tracking, measuring, and optimizing ABM program performance using data-driven insights.
    • Reviewing and assessing the results of executed activities and plans to measure ROI

 

Your Experience

 

  • 10+ years of relevant work experience in field, channel, demand generation, or campaign marketing, preferably in the cybersecurity or technology industry.
  • Proven track record of planning and executing demand generation programs.
  • Experience owning and partnering with others on marketing programs, with an understanding of how to measure marketing mix performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and write campaign program plans and comfort with execution of quarterly plans.
  • Hands-on experience with managing events (both virtual and in-person) and trade shows, with a deep understanding of event planning from strategy to execution.
  • Experience delivering webinar and virtual event programs
  • Strong understanding of marketing best practices, demand generation, and customer engagement strategies.
  • Proven experience managing high-profile events and CXO engagement programs.
  • Understanding of ABM strategies, execution, and personalized marketing approaches.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to track pipeline impact and report on key marketing metrics. Strong knowledge of SFDC, Demandbase, Tableau, Marketo, ON24, Zoom, and Marketing AI tools is required.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and stakeholder management skills, with proven ability to project manage multiple projects at once and keep the team informed of status.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and last-minute changes, with a passion and skill for leading and partnering with cross-functional teams.
  • Self-starter with a positive attitude who can prioritize workload in a strict deadline-oriented environment, with excellent time management skills working under minimal supervision.
  • Ability to travel approximately 25% of the time.

 

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or in an appropriate field of study. 

 

Compensation

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location.  For candidates who receive an offer,this is the pay range that Magnit (the staffing agency) reasonably expects to pay for this position: $45/hour to $50/hour. Please note that the compensation information in this posting reflects the hourly wage only and does not include benefits.  Magnit offers Medical, Dental, Vision and 401K.
