West Regional Channel Marketing Specialist [Contract] - Palo Alto Networks

 

Role Description

This role is a contract assignment at Palo Alto Networks. Contractors will not be employed by Palo Alto Networks but through our trusted staffing partners.  

We are looking for an experienced and results-driven West Regional Channel Marketing Specialist (Contractor) to assist with leading and executing our marketing strategy across the Western United States. This is a high-impact, strategic role requiring a seasoned marketer with a strong background in both upmarket (Enterprise/Strategic Accounts) and commercial segments. The ideal candidate is a proactive collaborator and data-driven marketer, passionate about driving pipeline growth, accelerating sales cycles, and elevating brand presence.

This contractor role will be deeply collaborative, working closely with regional sales teams and channel partners to develop and execute integrated marketing programs that deliver measurable results. This position will report to Sr Field Marketing Manager.

 

  • Location - Santa Clara, CA (Hybrid) or West Coast of the United States
  • Duration -  12 months

Your Impact

Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Develop, own, and implement quarterly marketing plans with clear strategic priorities and tactical initiatives aligned with regional and national partner goals.
  • Manage regional marketing budgets, ensuring all initiatives are executed on time, within budget, and deliver strong ROI.
  • Collaborate with Partners to drive demand generation programs, event execution and digital marketing campaigns with clear goals and outcomes. 
  • Ensure ecosystem partners are aligned with Palo Alto Networks key sales plays and marketing priorities while upholding our brand at all times. 

Relationship Management & Collaboration

  • Serve as the primary marketing strategic point of contact ("quarterback") for assigned regional and national partner programs within the West. This includes understanding of marketing activities across all routes to market (CSPs, GSIs, SPs, MSSPs and TAP partners) and serving as the primary point of contact for your stakeholders to provide maximum visibility of everything happening in region to our Channel Business Managers (CBMs). 
  • Partner closely with dedicated CBMs across the commercial segment to support their marketing initiatives, with an emphasis on driving net new logos and door opening opportunities with our West Regional Partners.
  • Build and maintain strong, strategic relationships with regional partners and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and seamless collaboration.

Data-Driven Decision Making & Optimization

  • Report results to key sales and marketing stakeholders via quarterly business reviews and cadence calls.
  • Track and analyze partner-created marketing impacts, campaign execution, and results to improve outcomes and pipeline contribution.
  • Leverage marketing automation and processes to drive efficiency and team collaboration.
  • Consistently meet or exceed quarterly MQL, pipeline, and bookings targets for supported programs.

Communication & Resource Management

  • Oversee key communication channels such as regular internal newsletters and update calls to keep stakeholders informed.
  • Provide weekly updates on marketing activities and performance through calls and email briefings.
  • Support special initiatives such as Ignite on Tour sponsorships, Partner Roadshows, and Summits.

 

Your Experience

  • 5–7 years of experience in high-tech marketing, preferably within a dynamic or fast-paced environment.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Results-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership and urgency.
  • Exceptional communication skills with a proven ability to build strong relationships.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce (SFDC), Allocadia (or similar budgeting/planning tools), and G Suite is a plus.
  • Strategic thinker who thrives in both high-level planning and flawless tactical execution.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and inform decisions.
  • Experience in channel/partner marketing or field marketing is highly preferred.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.

Compensation

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location.  For candidates who receive an offer,this is the pay range that Magnit (the staffing agency) reasonably expects to pay for this position: $50/hour to $55/hour. Please note that the compensation information in this posting reflects the hourly wage only and does not include benefits.  Magnit offers Medical, Dental, Vision and 401K. Magnit is not able to provide assistance to candidates requiring sponsorship or a visa for this position.
