Candidates in Austin, TX are preferred for a hybrid schedule, however remote candidates may be considered. 

About the Role

We are modernizing a framework offering to adhere to industry best practices around TypeScript and Unit Test framework 

Responsibilities 

• Preliminary analysis
• Migrate to monorepo
• Migrate unit tests to vitest (example PR)
• Convert to typescript (optional per module)
• Structural refactoring (optional per module)
• Dependency injection for deprecating/migrating core functionality (e.g. observability, config, etc)
• Pull up adaptor functionality from express/callback embedment (enable new frameworks)
• Test and release new module versions in full SDLC

Basic Qualifications

• Experienced web platform engineer with deep expertise in Node.js, JavaScript, and building scalable internal libraries and frameworks. 
• Proven track record supporting enterprise teams with reusable tooling, API layer architecture, and performance-focused backend solutions.
   

This is the pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay for this position: $55.07/hour - $73.42/hour
