Associate Creative Director, Motion | Design
Job Summary
The Design Team is responsible for the design and art direction of core communications —including product launches and seasonal campaigns—across Identity, Packaging, Keynote, and Events. Working in a highly collaborative manner, a primary focus of the Design Team is to define the look and feel of all product imagery through experimentation, critical thinking, and extraordinary attention to detail.
The ACD is an integral member of the team, crafting clear, compelling, inspiring, and beautiful storytelling for our products. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of design, can think strategically, and give the work purpose that pushes the needle through experimentation, critical thinking, and extraordinary attention to detail.
Key Qualifications
- You have at least 10+ years of design and art direction experience with an expert ability to develop innovative creative work.
- Significant experience with motion design, typography, branding, 3D animation, live action film/video, etc.
- Executes high quality design work on assigned projects in a variety of media. Regularly reviews creative work with the Group Creative Directors from different Brand and Design pods to get feedback on direction, and to ensure the art direction is aligned with Design Team.
- You're a strong communicator with great presentation skills that is able to articulate ideas in a clear manner, engage in healthy debate, and accept directional feedback.
- Fully accountable for monitoring creative team’s progress against creative brief and schedules on assigned projects.
- Relied upon to conceive of, design and lead the development of high quality creative work that pushes the brand forward.
- You have good organization skills to file work in a manner that can be shared with the team, and ensure that deadlines are met.
Description
- Expert ability to develop well-conceived, innovative, flexible motion design systems that implement strategy.
- Ability to interpret creative vision from leadership and disseminate that vision to lead junior creative staff members, vendors, and freelancers. Providing guidance and mentorship.
- Excellent conceptual and problem solving skills.
- Leads the successful creation and production of assets, following creative direction, product briefs, and driving long-term strategies.
- Brainstorms, coordinates, and collaborates frequently in order to bring to life the client’s key elements of design and art direction.
- Delivers persuasive creative presentations, communicating effectively across groups of the organization.
- Deep knowledge in animation toolsets, including, but not limited to, After effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, C4D or equivalent 3D package.
Education
A Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Motion Design or related field is preferred.
