Looking for a skilled Senior Copyeditor to join our design team. The copyeditor will assisting with a wide range of advertising and marketing projects, and in charge of reviewing and finalizing a range of written content, including landing pages, pamphlets, marketing emails, headlines, video scripts, social media posts, push notifications, internal newsletters, and more.
The ideal candidate will be an authority on the rules and idiosyncrasies of English grammar and spelling, and will have experience working for an advertising/marketing agency or major brand.
Qualifications:
- 7-10 years experience editing short- and long-form advertising/marketing copy.
- Background in journalism and/or copy editing.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines with zero errors or inconsistencies.
- Strong familiarity with American, Canadian, and U.K. spelling and grammar
rules. - Strong familiarity with AP Style guidelines.
- Strong familiarity with Apple/iOS tools and applications.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, creative environment.
Job Description
- Edit art and copy with 100% accuracy and consistency using nomenclature, proper grammar, usage, punctuation, type specs, typography, grids, folios and pagination.
- Ensure all copy adheres to appropriate style guides.
- Ensure content conforms to client brand identity by using appropriate
voice, tonality and message to support that brand. - Review each stage to ensure that all marked internal changes and client
changes are done accurately and with no newly introduced errors.
This is a 3-month contract.
Hours may fluctuate on project needs.
