Job Summary
The Strategy group partners with Brand and Creative Directors to develop strategic platforms, POVs, and creative briefs that shape meaningful, innovative work for one of the most beloved brands in the world. We use a rigorous, insights-driven approach to connect Apple with current and future customers globally.
We’re looking for a senior Brand Strategist—someone with deep experience and the ability to lead complex, high-visibility initiatives. This person will be a strategic leader for products or key initiatives, working closely with top-tier creative talent to launch new products, craft global campaigns, and push marketing boundaries.
Preferred Experience:
- Extensive background in mobile gaming or entertainment strategy
- Experience working across international markets, particularly Asia
- Familiarity with bundle services (e.g., subscription models, cross-service offerings)
- A clear track record of delivering strategic impact in a creative, cross-functional environment
Key Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in brand strategy or strategic planning
- Ability to simplify complex data and narratives into compelling insights
- Proven leadership in cross-functional strategy and creative teams
- Exceptional storytelling, brief writing, and presentation skills
- Deep understanding of business/brand strategy, research & insights, and communications planning
- Experience with global campaigns or product launches
- Strong partnerships with creatives across advertising, interactive, print, video, and retail
- Strategic agency experience with real case studies or creative briefs to show
Description
- Lead strategy for products or initiatives, partnering with Brand and Creative Directors
- Drive annual strategic planning and set direction across Marcom and partner teams
- Shape creative development from a strategic lens, ensuring impactful and provocative work
- Guide creation of briefs for internal and external teams (including MAL)
- Define strategic platforms and align teams globally behind a unified vision
- Drive insights development through research and data synthesis
- Bring cultural and market relevance into the work—especially in international markets
- Collaborate closely with Product Marketing to uncover business opportunities and bold moves
Education
Bachelor’s degree preferred
This is a hybrid-onsite position based at our Culver City office. Candidates must be able to work onsite three days a week.
