Job Summary

The Marcom Post Production Department (PPD) is a full-service post production organization comprised of the following divisions: creative editorial, grading, audio, and visual effects. The VFX division works across all post production divisions. The PPD teams have a sense of pride in the work, a shared sense of purpose as a group and is known for delivering the highest quality creative. The ideal candidate is highly technical, creative, and has a proven track record of delivering on large scale productions. 

Key Qualifications/Description 

  • Collaborate and partner closely with VFX Supervisor, Artists and Production team to accurately scan, build and track 3D objects and cameras in live action footage.
  • Driven leader who approaches problem solving with a great sense of urgency.
  • Possess extraordinary communication and relationship skills, including collaborating cross-functionally from pre-production through post production. 
  • Possess deep knowledge and experience both creatively and technically in the following fields: LiDAR scans, latest camera technology, set surveys, 3D tracking software to ensure seamless integration of visual effects into live-action footage. 
  • You have extensive on set experience and can navigate highly secure sets and locations while collaborating with seasoned production talent. 
  • You are able to work unpredictable hours and are flexible to sometimes travel to remote locations with little notice. 

Skills

  • High level of technical knowledge of set scanning, scene building, camera/object tracking, scene integration and project archiving. 
  • Responsible for all on-set data acquisition (camera and lens information, lens maps, set survey, technical HDR photography, reference photography), camera tracking and setting up complex shots/sequences. The Integration Lead works closely with the VFX Supervisor to ensure integration is working within the pipeline for the project.
  • Organize and maintain all camera and technical data from set supervision. 

Experience

  • 10+ years camera setup, shot tracking and set supervision.

Expertise

  • Proficiency in: Maya, Nuke, PFTrack, Syntheyes, Houdini.
  • Expert knowledge in:
    • LiDAR scanning and set survey techniques. 
    • Camera optics, lenses and physical production workflows. 
    • 3D modeling and scan/survey data cleanup.
    • Post production pipelines and VFX integration.
