Digital Artist - Technical Imaging Artist | Visual Development
Job Summary
Visual Development sits in CG Studio and is part of the Global Marketing Communications group. We are a team of experienced technical digital artists, dedicated to craft, creativity, and the exploration of new technologies.
In this role you will work as part of our Imaging Team within CG Studio, delivering product / lifestyle photography, 3D rendered hardware stills, executive PR images and asset creation for product operating systems. You’ll be a part of a team dedicated to creating world class finished images that will be used for Keynote presentations, Retail, .com and other high visibility Marketing deliverables globally.
Key Qualifications:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience with Adobe Photoshop in a creative production environment, with a proficient technical understanding of 3D assets
- Proven professional experience in digital photography, RAW image editing workflows and other digital file formats
- Technical understanding of
retouching process for complex hardware assets, utilizing processes that include problem-solving with elements from 3D renders - Proficiency in working with assets rendered out of Cinema 4D, Maya and other 3D programs highly preferred
- Ability to comprehend technical processes for the sizing, compression, and implementation of images for product Operating Systems (iOS, macOS, iPadOS) in conjunction with the Human Interface and Engineering is preferred
- Proven professional experience with retouching lifestyle and hardware imagery, both photography and 3D rendered stills
- Proven knowledge of retouching skin tone and matching color
- Has a portfolio that displays an excellent eye for light, color, composition, form and design
- Outstanding attention to detail and a passion for quality and the pursuit of artistic excellence
- Excellent communication skills when working with art directors and creatives on a coherent visual style
- Proactive and independent as an artist, able to adapt to ever changing situations with creativity and innovation and work in ambiguity while still delivering results on time
- Must be deadline-driven and possess excellent problem solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Able to apply learnings from previous projects to current projects
Duties:
- Day to day responsibilities will include technical evaluation and retouching of lifestyle photography, rendered hardware stills, event identity logos, large scale Retail images, executive PR images and product wallpapers
- On-set imaging processing and retouching as required, with potential to travel as needed
- Work cross functionally with other teams, including Human Interface, Keynote, Design, Hardware and Photo as well as C-Suite executives
- Work closely with Keynote Designers to export hardware assets for seamless and efficient integration for product launch Keynote presentations
- Bringing imagery to a final, polished deliverable that meets our high standards
- Taking creative direction from Designers, Art Directors and Managers to achieve high quality results while working under the pressure of tight deadlines
- Responsible for managing deliverables from beginning to end of production, from ensuring all feedback is addressed to exporting final assets at the requested specs
