In this assignment, you will be working with Coinbase through our Managed Service Provider—partnering with one of the most influential cryptocurrency companies in history, dedicated to empowering their customers’ success through innovative solutions.

 

• Deliver working code against scoped tickets across the program's workstreams (entity clustering, risk scoring, internal review tooling, due diligence tooling, AI-assisted review)
• Build and extend Go-based backend services — capability APIs, risk-scoring logic, data models — following existing patterns in the team's codebase
• Build/extend internal tooling surfaces used by compliance agents to review and action business-customer records
• Integrate with third-party and internal systems: identity-verification vendors, Salesforce (DD case management), Snowflake, sanctions screening and clustering services
• Write tests, participate in code review, and follow existing team conventions
• Turn around well-defined tickets quickly across shifting priorities and multiple workstreams; flag blockers, scope creep, or cross-team dependencies rather than absorbing them
• Document technical decisions clearly enough to hand off cleanly — this is a delivery engagement, so context needs to transfer without requiring your continued presence
• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience, backend-leaning or full-stack
• Strong proficiency in Go — the primary backend language across this program
• Comfortable working in a modern frontend stack (React/TypeScript, Node) for internal tooling surfaces
• Solid experience building and consuming REST APIs and integrating with third-party vendors
• Strong Git/GitHub workflow fluency (branching, PR review, code owners) and working DevOps knowledge (CI/CD pipelines, containerization/Docker, basic deployment tooling)
• Able to work independently against scoped tickets across multiple concurrent workstreams without needing deep, ongoing onboarding into service ownership
• Strong written communication — you document decisions and hand off context cleanly by default
• Ability to effectively utilize coding agents like Claude and Codex to build and review code; working knowledge of consuming MCP tools
• Comfortable in a fast-moving, ambiguous, compliance-adjacent environment
• Based in North America; able to work core Eastern Time collaboration hours

Undergraduate degree in computer engineering, computer science, information technology or a related discipline.
