This is a contract role through Magnit for Consumers Energy in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This role is Remote.

Responsibilities:

• Manage UAS operations for large-scale projects and specialized inspections for the west side of the lower peninsula of Michigan.
• Develop and implement advanced UAS operation strategies.
• Supervise and support mid-level and junior UAS pilots.
• Conduct risk assessments and ensure high safety standards.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to integrate UAS data into workflows.

Experience:

• Expert knowledge of UAS systems and their applications in utility operations.
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Advanced data analysis and interpretation abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Comprehensive understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance.
• Bachelor’s degree in aviation, engineering, or a related field.
• Advanced UAS certification and specialized training in UAS operations management.
• Continuous professional development in UAS technology and regulatory updates.

Flight Hours of Experience:

• Minimum of 200 flight hours with UAS, including leadership roles in UAS operations.

Hourly Pay Rate Range (dependent on location, experience, expectation)

• The pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay for this position is: $34.00/hour - $42.00/hour W-2.
