Job Description:
In this role, you will work with clients to understand business requirements, gather information about various source systems, and build the actual integrations which connects their data sources together. As an integration’s developer, you will need to be able to work in a fast-paced environment to manage competing priorities, meet agreed upon deadlines, and deliver high quality work. This position is responsible for analysis, design, development, and implementation of Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) applications for internal company use and for clients. In addition, this position will take on the responsibility for:

Job Requirements:
• Experience with unit testing, release procedures, coding design and documentation protocol as well as change management procedures
• Proficiency using versioning tools: GIT, GNU, RCS, SCCS, CVS, SVN, Mercurial, Monotone, etc

• Proficiency in Web Services (SOAP) XML, and Flat Files (CSV, Fixed-Width)
Must Have Requirements:
• In-depth understanding of FHIR R4 (and upcoming R5) standards, particularly around RESTful APIs.
• Expertise in FHIR resources (e.g., Coverage, Claim, ClaimResponse, PriorAuthorization, Patient, Encounter, Practitioner, Organization, Bundle, Document Reference) and creating profiles using Structure Definition.
• Understanding of CMS Prior Authorization API Implementation Guides (e.g., Da Vinci Prior Authorization Support (PAS), Coverage Requirements Discovery (CRD), Documentation Templates and Rules (DTR), Payer Data Exchange (PDex)) for automating prior authorization processes.
• Proficiency in programming languages (like Java) for building and customizing FHIR-based solution
• Proficiency in FHIR Path and search parameters for data querying and manipulation.
• Experience designing and deploying FHIR servers and RESTful APIs.
• Skills in integrating FHIR APIs with payer systems and EMRs (like, Epic, Cerner).
• Expertise in SMART on FHIR and OAuth 2.0 for secure data access.
• Ability to map clinical data to FHIR resources and align with US Core profiles.
• Familiarity with terminologies (e.g., SNOMED CT, LOINC, ICD-10, CPT) for accurate data validation.
• Design RESTful FHIR APIs, manage endpoints, versioning, throttling, etc
• Knowledge of X12/EDI 278 standards for compatibility with payer systems.
• Understanding of healthcare workflows, particularly prior authorization processes, payer-provider interactions, and regulatory requirements.
• Familiarity with CMS-0057-F, HIPAA, and other healthcare regulations impacting interoperability and prior authorization
• Ability to address complex integration challenges and optimize prior authorization workflows
• Strong communication skills to work with cross-functional teams and vendors.
• Ability to document technical specifications and compliance details clearly
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodology
• Specific tools, languages and specialty skills may vary
Required Work Experience:
5+ years related work experience, Professional experience with technical design and coding in the IT industry
Required Education:
Related Bachelor’s degree or related work experience
