2026 IDS Summer Associate – Channel Strategy Analytics
Year of graduation (2026/2027)

Novartis has operated at the forefront of healthcare channel strategy and is taking further steps to address both near-term channel and healthcare systems issues as well as the longer-term sustainability of the US pricing and access model. As part of our efforts to remain at the forefront, Novartis is increasing the sophistication and customization of Channel Strategies by improving account engagement models, optimizing channel design and execution, and enhancing analytics capabilities. The Channel Strategy Analytics team partners across the organization to optimize product performance by generating and applying insights on channel dynamics, and by equipping customer-facing teams with data-driven recommendations tailored to each product and its specific channel environment.

This internship will focus on delivering several key projects to enable more effective channel strategy, pull-through, account management, and local market execution in support of the Channel Strategy Analytics team.

Responsibilities:
• Structure and analyze channel performance data (e.g., distribution, access, fulfillment, and adherence metrics) to support field- and account-facing teams with high-impact insights that maximize pull-through efforts
• Expand understanding of the US healthcare and distribution landscape, including key channel types (e.g., specialty pharmacies, wholesalers/distributors, retail, specialty distributors) and related terminology
• Support the refresh and enhancement of dashboards, reports, and “fact books” to improve account team effectiveness and better inform Market Access and Channel Strategy leaders about key channel customers and partners
• Conduct analog and trend analyses across products, geographies, and channels to uncover insights that inform channel design, pull-through tactics, and resource allocation
• Work closely with members of the Channel Strategy Analytics and Market Access teams and collaborate across Market Access and IPST as needed
• Manage project timelines, synthesize analytic findings, and prepare presentations and materials for IPST, Channel Strategy, and Market Access leadership as required

Minimum Requirements:
• Candidate should be in a US accredited degree-granting college or university pursuing a graduate degree in data sciences or analytics
• Interest in a career in pharmaceuticals
• Basic understanding of the US healthcare system
• Possess interpersonal and communication skills; ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
• Experienced user of Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel), including data management processes, structuring data and programming
• Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
