Providing customers with advice regarding the Novartis product portfolio and services through digital and in-person channels, while considering the needs of healthcare professionals, in order to expand scientific knowledge, increase disease awareness, and ultimately improve patient care and treatment outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Advises and informs customers regarding the Novartis product portfolio and services by providing current, relevant, and approved data and key messages to the right customer, at the right time, through the right channel, in order to support customer decision-making and optimize therapy outcomes in an ethical manner.
  • Applies communication skills in customer interactions and adapts messages and communication channels in a customer- and patient-oriented manner in order to best meet customer needs and optimize the customer experience.
  • Regularly analyzes all available data sources and information, continuously documents customer insights in the relevant data systems, and uses these insights to better personalize content and messaging.
  • Understands and utilizes omnichannel customer engagement and effectively and efficiently incorporates individual customer preferences in order to maximize impact for patients, customers, and the company.
  • Responsible for territory and center management and uses all available data sources to create, dynamically prioritize, and adapt relevant territory, account, and customer contact plans.
  • Implements customer interaction concepts in cross-functional coordination with teams from Sales, Medical Affairs, and Key Account Management.
  • Continuously shares insights gained from customers in order to support the development of product- and indication-related content, campaigns, and interaction plans.
  • Works closely with geographic and/or cross-functional teams to maximize Novartis’ impact with customers.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of the industry, therapeutic areas, prescribing information, current studies, competitors, and market conditions, and focuses efforts on the most important customer opportunities.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Degree in life sciences/natural sciences or qualification as a certified pharmaceutical sales representative, PTA (Pharmaceutical Technical Assistant), MTA (Medical Technical Assistant), BTA (Biological Technical Assistant), or CTA (Chemical Technical Assistant).
  • Qualification in accordance with Section 75 of the German Medicines Act (Arzneimittelgesetz).
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and social skills.
  • Resilience.
  • Commitment to continuous learning.
  • Experience in customer and account management, including the use of communication and negotiation skills (customer- and patient-oriented communication).
  • Understanding of business insights and data (including technical platforms, analytics, and structured thinking) to improve patient benefit.
  • Management of customer experiences and cross-functional collaboration (internal/external).
  • Omnichannel customer engagement (knowledge and platform expertise).
  • Independent and goal-oriented working style.

Additional Requirements for Oncology/Hematology:

  • In-depth knowledge of oncological and hematological diseases, as well as the ability to discuss clinical study data, guidelines, and therapy algorithms professionally and on equal footing with specialists.
  • Management of highly specialized customers, particularly hematology specialty centers and university hospitals with complex stakeholder structures.
  • Conducting scientifically sound, evidence-based discussions with hematology experts while adhering to all compliance requirements.
  • Active participation in scientific congresses to interpret current study data and derive relevant implications for customers.
  • Close and clearly structured collaboration with Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs) for forwarding scientific inquiries and identifying relevant medical needs.
  • Building and maintaining long-term, trust-based relationships with key opinion leaders in hematology.
  • High emotional intelligence and sensitivity in dealing with serious and often chronic diseases.
  • The Sales Representative acts as a credible, scientifically knowledgeable, and strategic partner within the hematology healthcare environment.

Workload: 40 hours/week
Work Location: Mecklenburg-Vorpommern; nördliches Brandenburg
Required start date: 1 July 2026
Contract: 10 months
