TM Academy Fellow in Pharmacokinetic Sciences

Onsite Cambridge, MA
Required to be in-person 5 days/week the first 4-6 weeks of the program. After that, will be hybrid up to 3 days/week based on business needs and projects occurring. Candidates must be flexible with hybrid days required.

2 years! This is the length of the training program we offer within Pharmacokinetic Sciences (PKS) in Translational Medicine (TM). As TM Academy fellow in PKS, you will gain valuable training and experience to help develop your careers in the field of Pharmacokinetic Sciences and Clinical Pharmacology.

During the 2-year program, you will receive hands-on training alongside a clinical pharmacologist as a mentor. You will have the opportunity to unleash the power of PK/PD/ADME/Clinical Pharmacology from discovery research to late development within an international multi-cultural pharmaceutical research environment.

In parallel to your Academy learning, your core focus will be to contribute and assist one or more inter-disciplinary teams throughout the Research & Development lifecycle. You will have the chance to apply your own knowledge and strengths to various projects across therapeutic areas and many modalities that Novartis is leading such as Biologics, Antibody-Drug Conjugates, Cell and Gene therapy and xRNA.  Your responsibilities will develop based on your skills and interests.

TM Academy is designed for individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences:
• Career starters: recent university degree graduate within the past 2 years
• Career changers: professionals with experience from a different field
• Career relaunchers: professionals wanting to return to work after a career break

During the Academy you will
• be trained and onboarded by experts
• embark on a progressive, blended and flexible learning experience covering conceptual, theoretical and experiential techniques
• gain hands-on experience by contributing to and supporting a range of activities across phase of drug development and modalities.
• broaden your professional horizon by doing a deep dive in one of the PKS focus areas within one therapeutic area and/or modality aligned with your interests and based on open opportunities.

Duration of program 24 months

Role Requirements:
Candidates should have
• interest in clinical research
• University degree (BSc, MSc, PharmD or PhD in pharmacokinetics, pharmaceutical sciences, clinical pharmacology or related biologic background)
• Business-level English; oral & written
• good organizational and interpersonal skills
• ability to work in a team and independently, managing multiple priorities with support
• good Office IT skills

Pay Rate:  
Recent graduates (Bachelor, Master's, PharmD): $33.80/hr 1st year; $36.44/hr
Recent graduated (PhD): (PhD): $37.50/hr 1st year; $40.14/hr
Career changers and re-launchers at least 2 years relevant experience: $37.50/hr 1st year; $40.14/hr
Contract: 24-month 
Health, dental, vision, 401k (provided minimum eligibility hours are met)

Offering a housing stipend for any candidates requiring relocation to Cambridge, MA if currently more than 50 miles from work site.
