Graphic Designer – In house studio

Novartis is seeking a talented Graphic Designer to join our new in-house studio team. We are looking for a professional who not only possesses expert knowledge of current design software, but also excels in every stage of the design process – from ideation to the final deliverable. In this role, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform concepts into compelling visual designs that resonate with our audience. Experience creating forms, brochures, emails, banners for HCPs/patients is essential. Freelancers are also welcome.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is meticulous about details, and is deeply familiar with the pharmaceutical industry's marketing rules and regulations for promotional print and digital materials. Key Responsibilities:
• Creative Development: Conceptualize and execute high-quality design assets across various channels, including commercial, communications, and patient support programs (PSPs).
• Production Expertise: Create production-ready promotional materials for both print and digital media while adhering to brand guidelines and PAAB standards.
• Brand Stewardship: Ensure consistent application of brand identity across all marketing materials and channels.
• Vendor Collaboration: Coordinate with external vendors, including third-party production teams, to deliver projects on time and to specification.
• File Management: Maintain accurate version control and organized file systems for all projects.
Essential Requirements:
• Experience: 2-3 years of experience in an agency or freelance setting, ideally with a focus on pharmaceutical marketing (PAAB/ASC knowledge required). Experience creating promotional materials for patients and HCPs.
• Design Expertise: Advanced understanding of design principles, typography, and layout, supported by a compelling portfolio of work.
• Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to identify and resolve errors or inconsistencies in both copy and design across multiple languages.
• Collaboration: Strong communication skills and flexibility to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Technical Proficiency:
o Mastery of Adobe Creative Cloud tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
o Experience with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Canva, and Shaman.
o Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
o PowerPoint design skills for presentations is considered a strong asset
• Bilingual (English and French)
Location: Montreal / Toronto (Hybrid)
Pay Rate: $60 - $89/hr based on experience and qualifications (W2 Only)
Contract: 6-month
