In the student placement position, the candidate will join the Novartis Biomedical Research Global Health Lead Discovery team, a group committed to the discovery and development of novel therapies targeting neglected infectious diseases.
You will gain exposure to and training in advanced laboratory research techniques to further strengthen scientific knowledge and expand in drug discovery skills. More specific training will be provided in the areas of cell biology, microbiology, molecular biology and complex tissue culture systems. You will also gain hands-on training in the fields of in vitro and in vivo pharmacology.
You will have access to Biomedical Research's state-of-the-art technology platforms while benefiting from a customized schedule encompassing both scientific and business-related disciplines. Through on-the-job training, you will immerse in lab work and gain experience within the diverse Novartis organization, allowing to acquire new techniques and apply them in a research context. Additionally, classroom training, seminars, presentations, and written reports will further enhance your development.
Location: Emeryville, CA(Onsite)
Pay Rate: $22- $24/hr based on experience and qualifications (W2 Only)
Contract: 12-month
