Reams Asset Management ("Reams"), an affiliate of Raymond James Investment Management, is a fixed income investment management firm located in downtown Indianapolis, Indiana. Since its establishment in 1981, Reams has grown to manage over (USD)23 billion in a variety of fixed income strategies for a diverse group of institutional clients, including Fortune 500 corporations, large public pension funds, Taft-Hartley plans, health care organizations, and a variety of universities, foundations and endowments. Reams employs 40 individuals with a mission to provide the highest quality investment management expertise and unmatched client service in all product areas over the long-term.

We currently have an opportunity in our Investment Operations Department for an Analyst who will be responsible for processing account transactions and reconciliations, generating reports, and acting as liaison for internal and external contacts. This position will also support day-to-day resolution of complex problems and be involved in process improvement projects. Additional responsibilities and projects will be assigned commensurate with demonstrated competency of previous assignments.

 

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Supports day-to-day resolution of complex investment accounting problems and transaction processing and is responsible for the client portfolio reconciliation processes.

  •  Assists with administration of portfolio accounting system.
  •  Interprets and analyzes information and prepares reports for management.
  •  Resolves issues quickly with a sense of urgency.
  •  Leads small to medium sized projects with varied levels of complexity.
  •  Identify opportunities in processes and recommend improvements.
  •  Manages and builds relationships as both and internal external liaison.
  •  Balances conflicting resource and priority demands.
  •  Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned

  •  Experience with fixed income securities
  •  Experience with derivative securities

  •  Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related degree 
  • 1 - 3 years of relevant experience or combination of education, training and experience.

Knowledge

  •  Demonstrate a satisfactory level of technical and professional skill or knowledge in position-related areas; remains current with developments and trends in areas of expertise.

Skills

  •  Portfolio accounting systems and databases.
  •  Strong Excel skills.
  •  Communicating effectively in both oral and written communications.
  •  Demonstrating uncompromising adherence to ethical principles.
  •  Preparing analyses and information reports for management.

This is the pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay for this position: $21.56/hour-$35.00/hour
