This position is a temporary assignment. As a contractor, you’ll be employed by Magnit, not The Cigna Group or any subsidiaries of The Cigna Group.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Technical landscape analysis and infrastructure mapping: Proficiently and quickly learn and understand the Middleware Automation Platforms: Github, IBM UrbanCode Deploy, Ansible Automation Platform and Websphere Middleware.
• Middleware & Automation Expertise: Work with a broad range of middleware technologies, including but not limited to JBoss Web Server (Tomcat), IBM MQ, IBM WebSphere and Liberty and especially Ansible for automation tasks.
• Troubleshoot Compatibility Issues: Identify, analyze, and resolve infrastructure compatibility challenges related to system architecture, project requirements, and customer expectations.
• Lead Infrastructure Assignments: Deliver expert solutions for complex infrastructure projects, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance across diverse environments.
• Design & Develop Utility Programs: Participate in the creation of design specifications and the development of utility programs to support infrastructure needs.
• Effective Communication: Provide clear, thorough communication with peers and leadership regarding project status, and proactively highlight any issues or blockers impacting task completion.
• Innovation & Leadership: Apply creativity, foresight, and sound judgment to deliver infrastructure initiatives. Offer thought leadership within Infrastructure Engineering and contribute to broader business projects.
• Advisory Role: Use deep professional knowledge to advise functional leaders and influence infrastructure strategy.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven Experience: Demonstrated success in infrastructure engineering roles, with a focus on automation and Java code migration.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong hands-on experience with Ansible and middleware platforms (IBM WebSphere, Liberty, HTTP Server, JBoss Web Server (Tomcat)).
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Migration Expertise: Solid understanding of Java application migration processes, including assessment, planning, execution, and post-migration support.
• Problem-Solving: Advanced troubleshooting skills for resolving complex infrastructure and compatibility issues.
• Collaboration: Ability to work effectively across teams and with leadership to achieve project goals.
• Creativity & Judgment: Demonstrated ability to innovate and make sound decisions in dynamic environments.

Hourly Pay Rate Range (dependent on location, experience, expectation) 

The pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay for this position is: $60.00/hour-$70.00/hour
