Who we’re looking for
Toyota’s TMNA Stamping Production Engineering Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated CAD Engineer for Digital Twin.
 
Reporting to the Digital Twin Engineering Manager, the person in this role will support the Casting / Press / Plastics department's objective to support planning, design, install, and start-up of new and modified equipment for our NAMC Stamping Shops from a digital twin perspective as well as scanning activity at all NAMC’s.

The primary responsibility of this role:

  • Data Management for Digital Twin Data for Casting / Press / Plastics.
  • Create Shop Digital Twin Models using AutoDesk Software Packages.
  • Perform and Lead Digital Design Review’s with project stakeholders.
  • Create Step by Step Demolition & Install CAD Models.
  • Create & Update Digital Twin Models for NAMC’s Shops. 
  • Support project leads using digital twin data for visualizations and special studies.
  • Digital Area Scanning of Shop Areas and Special Project Scanning.
     

What you’ll be doing:

  • Mange Digital Data for all shops CAD Models.
  • Using AutoDesk Software: (Vault and/or AutoDesk Construction Cloud)
  • This position will be the point person for all CAD data from Casting / Press / Plastics. Must have a high degree of organizational skills and project management capabilities.
  • Create and Manage Digital Twin Models for Each Shop
  • Using AutoDesk software: (AutoCAD Architect / Inventor / Navisworks / Revit / ReCap / Factory Design Utilities / Vault)
  • Lead Update Meetings for Project / Shop Changes.
  • Communicate effectively with PE and NAMC’s Project Management team members.
  • Support creation of Digital Twin standards and “How To” manuals.
  • Track Project Status and KPI’s.
  • Area Scanning of NAMC’s Shops for Unscanned &/or Updated Areas.

What you bring:

  • BS in Engineering (Mechanical or similar), or Equivalent Work Experience.
  • Proven background in developing CAD models of manufacturing shops.
  • Advanced User and Understanding of AutoDesk Software:
  • AutoCAD Architecture or Mechanical
  • Inventor
  • Navisworks
  • Factory Design utilities

Intermediate User AutoDesk Software:

  • Vault
  • AutoDesk Construction Cloud
  • ReCap

Exposure to AutoDesk Software or familiar with use cases for:

  • Revit
  • Tandem
  • FlexSim
  • BIM 360
  • CATIA
  • NVIDIA Omniverse
  • Cintoo / Matterhorn (Point Cloud Data)

Advanced User of Microsoft Office skills and Other:

  • PowerPoint
  • Excel
  • Word
  • Project
  • 5+ years’ experience with manufacturing factory environment related to install and floor planning.
  • Ability to complete tasks on multiple projects concurrently.
  • Open and clear communication, both verbal and written, with management team.
QUALIFICATION/ LICENSURE :
  • Work Authorization : Green Card, US Citizen
  • Preferred years of experience : No preferred years of experience required
  • Travel Required : 25% to 50%
  • Shift timings: 9 AM to 5 PM
