Description:

This is a contract opportunity. You will be employed by Magnit to work on assignment with GuideWell and subsidiary companies including Florida Blue. 

JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking detail-oriented and organized security specialist to join our team, with a focus on supporting the implementation and management of our public key infrastructure, secure file transfers, and encryption technologies. As a key member of our cybersecurity team, you will assist in ensuring the security and integrity of our organization's data.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist in the implementation and management of our PKI infrastructure, including certificate authorities, registration authorities, and certificate revocation lists.
  • Support the configuration and management of secure file transfer systems, such as SFTP, to ensure secure data transfer between systems and partners.
  • Help develop and maintain documentation for PKI and encryption systems, including technical guides, policies, and procedures.
  • Assist in providing training and support to other teams regarding PKI, secure file transfers, and encryption best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging threats and assist in recommending improvements to PKI and encryption infrastructure and systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure PKI and encryption solutions are integrated with other security systems and applications.

Additional Required Qualifications:

  •  1+ years of experience in IT or a similar field, with a basic understanding of cryptographic concepts and protocols.
  • Familiarity with security protocols, including TLS, SSL, and S/MIME.
  • Basic knowledge of security best practices and industry standards, including HIPPA, SOC2, HiTrust.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze technical issues and develop creative solutions.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Entry level experience with certificate management software, such as Microsoft Active Directory Certificate Services, DigiCert, or Entrust.
  •  Basic familiarity with encryption technologies, such as PGP or AES.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages, such as PowerShell or Python.
  • Foundational knowledge of agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.

Required Work Experience:

  • 1+ years related work experience

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED

Preferred Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field

Required Licenses and/or Certifications

  • CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent) certification required within 180 days of hire.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using Agile methodology.
  • Professional work experience or internship in the IT field.
