Description:

This is a contract opportunity. You will be employed by Magnit to work on assignment with GuideWell and subsidiary companies including Florida Blue. 

 

The Senior Cybersecurity Threat Analyst develops and implements a comprehensive information security program, including defining security policies, processes, and procedures. Implementing, managing, and maintaining security tools such as web application firewalls, advanced bot protection, identity proofing/knowledge-based authentication, and related technologies. Performing vulnerability analysis of web applications utilizing both dynamic and static methodologies. They provide consultative guidance to development partners on the remediation and mitigation of information security vulnerabilities. They lead efforts, oversee work results, provide formal training and serve as a technical resource for Cybersecurity team members. In addition, a senior analyst will build, test, implement, administer, troubleshoot, and maintain enterprise security solutions within their area of responsibility, while requiring minimal guidance.

 

Essential Functions:

  • The essential functions listed represent the major duties of this role, additional duties may be assigned.
  • Subject matter expert in the detection and identification of Cybersecurity vulnerabilities, tactics, techniques and procedures.
  • Leads root cause analysis of any alerts and threats identified by web application firewalls, or other security tools in the AOR. Once root cause is determined, proposes and leads cross-departmental efforts, if required, to implement appropriate security controls and solutions that will mitigate risk and vulnerabilities, as well as safeguard our systems and data while ensuring uptime and availability for business partners.
  • Independently and proactively prepares detailed technical papers, presentations, recommendations, and findings for Management and Technology Leaders
  • Develops and maintains documentation for security processes, procedures, and security diagrams
  • Leads the development of proposed design, configuration, and implementation of security architecture
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for team members, specializing in vulnerability scanning, remediation, and mitigation.
  • Leads improvements discussions with third-party vendor and internal resources regarding enterprise security solutions and projects.
  • Serves as a liaison to subsidiary companies ensuring project communication and success.

Required Work Experience:

6+ years related work experience.

Required Education:

Related bachelor’s degree or additional related equivalent work experience IT related field.

Additional Required Qualifications:

  • Strong technical knowledge of security architecture, tools and controls with specific demonstrated experience in web application firewalls and/or advanced bot protection.
  • In-depth knowledge of information threat and vulnerability analysis, and detection concepts and principles.
  • Experience working and managing vendor performance and service level agreements.
  • Proven leadership abilities including effective knowledge sharing, conflict resolution, facilitation of open discussions, fairness and displaying appropriate levels of assertiveness.
  • Proven ability to work under stress in emergencies with flexibility to handle multiple high-pressure situations simultaneously.
  • Ability to communicate highly complex technical information clearly and articulately for all levels and audiences.
  • Ability to manage tasks independently and take ownership of responsibilities with minimal guidance.
  • Strong customer focus with ability to manage customer expectations and experience and build long-term relationships.
  • Strong team-oriented interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with a broad range of people and roles including vendors, developers, and IT-business personnel.
  • Critical thinking skills required to evaluate highly complex enterprise environments, determine best technology and deployment fit to address problems, and troubleshoot production issues providing a timely resolution.

Preferred Licenses and Certifications

CISSP - Cert Information Systems Security Professional.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of architecture experience
  • 3-5 years of vulnerability management experience

 

GuideWell and its family of companies including Florida Blue has partnered with Magnit as its Managed Service Provider (MSP) and Employer of Record (EOR) since 2018. In May of 2025, GuideWell joined Magnit Direct Source to implement the GuideWell Contractor Cohort. This program is designed to create, manage and curate a contractor talent pool for temporary contract opportunities with GuideWell. As a contractor working on temporary assignment with GuideWell, you will be employed by Magnit.
