Sales Operations Analyst- Contractor - Palo Alto Networks [Contract]

Role Description

This role is a contract assignment at Palo Alto Networks. Contractors will not be employed by Palo Alto Networks but through our trusted staffing partners.  

Palo Alto Networks is looking for a Sales Ops Analyst - Contractor to work with the North America Sales and Operations teams. This is a great opportunity for a talented individual who has the desire to associate with a fast-growing company in a truly international environment. 

  • Location - Santa Clara, CA (Hybrid - 3X a week in office)
  • Duration -  10 months 

As a Sales Ops Analyst (Contractor), you will directly and visibly contribute to our overall success and daily operations within the North America Sales Ops team and will report to the Director of North America Sales Operations. 

This role is pivotal to the success of the sales organization, is collaborative in nature, and will continue to flex and grow as the organization matures. If you are a self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments with minimal supervision, this is the role for you!

Your Impact

 

Business Insights 

  • Perform data analysis to support pipeline management, forecasting, and sales performance metrics
  • Own all weekly administrative forecasting support (Clari updates, written forecast summary, and prepare weekly sales leadership data packs) 
  • Provide support for weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reviews 
  • Respond to ad-hoc reporting and analysis requests from Sales and Executive teams
  • Maintain and enhance Salesforce, Clari, and GCP reports where needed 

Shared Services Support 

  • Assist in the automation and streamlining of manual sales operations tasks for the renewals and ecosystems teams: 
    • Onboarding new hires, system requests 
    • Vacancy requests 
    • Split requests 
    • SCRC write-ups 
  • Assist the Renewals Ops lead in auditing ATR data to improve reporting accuracy

 

Your Experience

 

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in sales operations/analyst, or similar roles, preferred 
  • Salesforce CRM expertise (reporting, dashboards, data hygiene)
  • Advanced Excel / Google Sheets (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, complex formulas)
  • Business Intelligence tools (Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent)
  • Ability to analyze complex data sets and distill into actionable insights
  • Experience tracking and reporting on sales performance KPIs
  • Strong understanding of pipeline metrics, forecasting models, and sales funnel health
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Ability to document processes and create a repeatable reporting workflow

Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience required.

Compensation

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location.  For candidates who receive an offer, this is the pay range that Magnit (the staffing agency) reasonably expects to pay for this position: $45/hour to $50/hour. Please note that the compensation information in this posting reflects the hourly wage only and does not include benefits.  Magnit offers Medical, Dental, Vision and 401K.
