Description:

Job Summary: 

Under limited supervision, uses extensive knowledge and skills obtained through formal education and work experience to perform quantitative and qualitative financial analyses of foreign and domestic corporations and financial institutions. Assigns risk ratings and recommends appropriate exposure limits. Performs various risk analysis to monitor and ensure compliance with established exposure limits across all business segments. Designs, prepares and distributes risk reports. Performs various credit risk analyses to ensure compliance with establish exposure limits. Works independently on difficult assignments that are both broad in scope and complex in nature. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly credit risk reports. 
  • Collect and review data for accuracy and provide commentary on credit exposure exceptions. 
  • Assist in the design, development and testing of credit risk reports. 
  • Coordinate efforts between Risk Management and the business units to resolve exception/exposure items and prepare responses for Senior Management inquiries. 
  • Perform detailed financial analysis and credit assessments of domestic and foreign institutional and streetside trading counterparties.  
  • Assign risk ratings to the counterparts and propose appropriate trading limits based on the quantative and qualitative analyses performed on proposed trading activity, capital levels and trading strategies. 
  • Maintain the credit files and ensures all supporting credit documentation, legal and trading agreements, risk ratings and trading limits are captured appropriately in all credit systems.
  • Develop comprehensive and efficient solutions to complex risk measurement and reporting needs. 
  • Provide analysis and commentary regarding significant credit exposure, trading activity, and concentrations issues. 
  • Assure data integrity for market data, scenario generation, static data/security master, and portfolio mapping. 
  • Analyze business processes, procedures, and information requirements to resolve problems and improve workflow and process efficiency.  
  • Calculate risk using industry standard models such as value-at-risk, potential future exposures, and stress testing.  
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • General concepts of capital markets (fixed income and equities).

  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of one (1) year of relevant business experience in financial services. 

 

This is the pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay for this position: $41.38/hour - $55.17/hour
