Job Title: IT Program Manager

Position Details: 

  • Partial Onsite - Will need to be onsite at least 3 days per week and as needed.
  • Required Technologies: Certified Scum Master Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and project management tools.
  • Nice to Have: Azure Dev Ops/Boards

Duties:

Responsible for overall coordination, status reporting, and stability of project-oriented work efforts. Responsible for multiple work efforts of any size, from minimum complexity system/customer impacts to greater complexity system/customer impacts. Adheres to project management processes and methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budgeted hours, adheres to high quality standards, and meets ISSM expectations. Monitors project plans, assignments and work efforts on a daily basis. Ensures resource needs are assigned appropriately and escalates functional, quality, timeline issues. Tracks key project milestones and adjusts project plans to meet the needs of work effort. Responsible for leading the project from inception to final business acceptance and implementation. Mentors other project leads and participates in the training and development of staff. •20% Develops and monitors project plans, risk management plans, and project documentation from scope to post implementation. Ensures project documentation and deliverables are complete, on budget, within scope, and in accordance with standards. •20% Identifies items that impact the scope, budget, risk, and resources of the work effort. Monitors resource requirements based on project specifications. Ensures resources are assigned to meet project objectives while managing project hours budgeted. •20% Responsible for the development, execution, and maintenance of project communications. Facilitates effective communications between all parties involved in the project and/or work efforts. This will include meetings, correspondence, status reports and other documentation. •20% Identifies the impact of issues arising from the work efforts and/or resource requirements. Manages the project issues throughout the project life cycle. Communicates the implications of changes to the project scope with senior management and other appropriate parties. •10% Responsible for ensuring all work efforts have appropriate documentation for audit purposes utilizing project methodology standards in accordance with the ISSM. •10% Coaches, develops, mentors other team members. May provide guidance and leadership to staff pertaining to training and department initiatives. May provide oversight for a group of work efforts as requested. May perform peer reviews of project artifacts.

Advanced ability to prepare and present formal presentations to senior management. Proven ability to manage all phases of work effort from inception to completion. Highly effective strategic thinking skills. Proven effectiveness in conducting analysis of project triple constraints. 

Required Software and Tools: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and project management tools. 

Work Environment: Fast paced, dynamic environment which may require action and response 24X7 to support the technical business needs of the customer and where one must be flexible to changing priorities. 

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree or 4 years of job related work experience or 2 years of job related experience plus an associate’s degree in any major. 

Required Experience: 7 years IT experience in a leadership capacity, including 4 years leading multiple concurrent project teams. Completion of the BCBSSC Training Program for Project Management may substitute for one year of experience. 

Preferred Licenses and Certificates: PMP Certification

 

This is the pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay someone for this position is $50.00/hour - $65.00/hour. Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K (provided minimum eligibility hours are met).
