Magnit Direct Sourcing on behalf of Toyota is currently hiring an Operations Engineer for a temporary assignment in Georgetown, KY.

This is a 12 month contract. The pay range for this role is between $35-39/Hr. Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K.

What We’re Looking For
Toyota’s Body Production Engineering Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Engineer.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the person in this role will support the Body Production Engineering department's objective with BPE Resources for Manpower, Cost and Forecasting around topics of Manpower Planning, Cost Spending, Past Model Service Parts and Vendor Work which meet all targets for Safety, Quality, Productivity and Cost in the Area of Operations BPE Act 1.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Develop C/M or direction proposals and distill critical decision points to evaluate only necessary judgment criteria that link to project goals / group KPIs and build consensus among correct stakeholders
  • Coaching others through task-based activity in area of expertise
  • Creating accurate schedule with clear project milestones to assigned and self-identified scope
  • Have skill and initiative to navigate complex scenarios, ability to work through task within silo/scope and can communicate escalation needs effectively and drive solution to completion demonstrating Toyota Way thinking
  • Identifies Kaizen opportunities and collaborates with working groups to complete countermeasure and demonstrates ability to yokoten within team and group
  • Achieving self-made schedule in standard time with complex scope of work
  • Standardization of new and existing processes using JKK/TBP and Toyota mindset
  • Areas of responsibility can include cost planning and forecasting, manpower forecasting, vendor forecasting and planning, plan vs actual process for costs, and project improvements

Qualifications / What You Bring (Must Haves)

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering or Tech degree + 5 years’ experience in related manufacturing environment
  • Must have experience with MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • AutoCAD experience, including the ability to create/modify a layout and read, interpret, and modify 2D drawings
  • Catia or other 3D CAD software experience, including the ability to read, interpret, and modify 3D models and processes
  • Project management skills include scheduling, budgeting, coordinating, problem solving, and reporting
  • Experience identifying opportunities for improvement, investigating root causes, and developing countermeasures
  • Experience with creating decision matrix that ensures critical decision points included in criteria
  • Ability to work up to 25% overtime
  • Ability to travel 30% to support go-and-see, confirm production change points, meet with and support customers and stakeholders onsite at NAMC
  • This position requires driving. A motor vehicle record that's acceptable by company standards is required for this position
  • General Toyota body structure and manufacturing process knowledge
  • TMNA PE experience or equivalent NAMC Body Pilot, special projects, or NAMC Body PE experience in planning, specification creation, tooling/jig design, equipment procurement and installation (including TM, CW, or co-op)
  • Advanced degree
  • Experience with PE functions (SE, Logistics, Planning, Quality, BAC, Circle G, Seibi, DE, Robot Team, Innovation group, etc.)
  • Experience in planning and executing welding or logistics equipment installation and trials
  • Experience with Power BI / SharePoint
