Job Title: Cybersecurity Engineer

Position Details:

  • 100% of the team works remote, but they prefer someone to be in Arizona.
  • Hire justification: Numerous projects and limited resources on team
  • There will be 2 weeks training/shadowing.
  • Interview Process: 2 rounds of interviews: 1st round will be a Zoom video interview with hiring manager then 2nd round will be a Zoom Video panel interview with team members.
  • Hands on experience with Security tools, such as Qualys, CrowdStrike, SIEM (Splunk), AI Governance, Vulnerability Management (Qualys & Rapid7), Internet Security, DLP (there is a current gap on the team).
  • Malware Analysis experience is a plus (there is a current gap on the team).
  • Cloud Security platforms experience, AWS.
  • Red/Blue Team experience.
  • Managing tickets when business necessitates /Ticketing system they use is Jira (they have a playbook for this – straight forward).
  • 6-month contract with potential to extend into 2027.

Duties:

  • Contribute to security team projects related to Vulnerability Management, Threat Intelligence, Security Monitoring, Cloud Security, Security Culture and Awareness, Endpoint Protection, DLP, Incident Response.
  • Active member of reviewing/resolving tickets in Cybersecurity queue.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or related certifications
  • 5-7 years’ experience in cybersecurity field with bachelor’s degree or related certifications. 
  • Strong / in-depth knowledge performing incident response and understanding of common desktop computing environments. 
  • Strong / in-depth experience identifying and responding to security events in a cloud environment. 
  • Strong / in-depth experience managing Vulnerability Management, Log Centralization, and Endpoint Detection and Response technologies and processes. 
  • Energized with strong problem-solving skills. Ability to analyze and solve problems independently. 
  • Ability to think outside of the box to identify new solutions to problems
  • Understanding and interest in evolving the cybersecurity landscape. 
  • Excellent analytical, written, and oral communication skills. 
  • Ability to work within a team environment. 

Pay Transparency:

  • This is the pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay someone for this position is $68.00/hour - $68.00/hour W-2.
  • Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K (provided minimum eligibility hours are met).
QUALIFICATION/ LICENSURE :
  • Work Authorization : US Citizen
  • Travel Required : No travel required
  • Shift timings: Work Schedule: Monday thru Friday, 40 hours/week.
