Job Summary
Motivated NetApp Consultant to join our Cloud and Platform Customers for the smooth functioning of Storage Professional Services.
The resource will provide Level 2 Infrastructure Improvements, New Installations, and implementations with best practices, predominantly working on NetApp Storage and Cloud products and services, support to our customers by responding to Incidents and requests, Problem Management Experience in supporting a varied clientele and a strong understanding of all NetApp storage-based technologies.
• Experienced in NetApp Storage (Deploying and administering NetApp Storage – CDOT, Troubleshooting Performance Issues, performing firmware and operating system upgrades, using storage management tools – OnCommand Unified Manager/ Performance Manager/ Insight, Managing backup integration with NetApp technologies);
• Proficient understanding of NetApp Storage concepts, related management tools and related Storage technologies (Snapshots, controller failover, provisioning, deduplication, cloning, SnapMirror, IntelliSnap) including monitoring and troubleshooting, administration, replication technologies, security hardening and performance tuning.
• Experience in other NetApp storage technologies like Storage grid, E-Series, CVO, BlueXP would be highly regarded
• Good to have basics of PowerShell/Python scripts would be beneficial.
• A thorough understanding of other components in the infrastructure stack – compute, virtualization and networks: (NetApp/Cisco Flex pod architecture, Cisco UCS platform, IBM Blade Center, System X, VMWare vSphere, Microsoft Operating Systems and Applications, Commvault);
• Strong understanding of Storage protocols and technologies (CIFS, NFS, iSCSI, Fibre Channel switching and networks)
• Knowledge in ITIL methodologies: change, incident, problem and configuration management.
• Understanding of outsourcing/managed service and Cloud managed services industry.
• ITIL Fundamentals certification desired.
• Working knowledge of monitoring platforms, WANs, SANs, backup and disaster recovery platforms.
• Working knowledge on various DR solutions, DR tests and backup technologies like snaps and clones.
• Experience in Linux System Administration
• Strong customer communication skills;

Education
Typically requires a minimum of 4 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree, and preferably 6 years; or 3 years and a master’s degree; or a PhD with relevant professional experience; or equivalent combination of professional education/training and applicable work experience.
