Job Summary
We are currently seeking an eager and collaborative individual to serve as the technical program manager as a part of UMG’s Architecture & Engineering team. This position will lead cross platform coordination, communication, tracking, and reporting efforts between multiple platform IT teams of across the UMG landscape as part of UMG’s Cloud Maturation Program.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate, track, report, and bridge communications between multiple IT teams as part of UMG’s Cloud Maturation Program
- Work within an Architecture & Engineering team to meet project objectives in a timely fashion
- Update project status reports (progress/risks/issues/roadblocks) as required by Senior Management
- Support teams as they transition to DevOps methodology and toolsets as they implement and support solutions in AWS, Azure, and GCP
- Ensure cloud resources meet UMG’s operational requirements and are in compliance with UMG infrastructure and security standards
- Provide documentation and communication to peers and other IT Teams for status, coordination, objectives, and performance
- Ensure high work standards regarding incident and change management tasks
- Upholds UMG values of integrity, inclusion, and impact. Promotes transparency in how decisions are made
- Other tasks as deemed necessary or appropriate
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Program Management experience running simultaneous multiple track (project), multi-org, interdependent program
- Mature and professional communication, organization, interpersonal skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Experience and understanding of cloud-based infrastructure (Amazon AWS, GCP, and Azure) in an enterprise setting (personal use of these services will not be considered as equivalent)
- Solid grasp and usage of version control and release management concepts and tools, particularly Git (Github / SVN/Bitbucket) for code branching and merging
- Familiarity with DevOps methodologies and toolsets (GitHub, Kubernetes, EKS, GKE, Chef, Terraform, Jira, Slack, Vault)
- Understanding of deployment practices using CICD Processes and Technologies (Jenkins, TeamCity, Spinnaker, Octopus, CodeDeploy, Automate)
- Under standing of key cloud design concepts such as “High Availability” (HA), “Elastic Load Balancing” (ELB), Principle of Least Privilege, Resiliency, Ephemeral Computing, Stateless Computing, Virtual Networking, and Scaling
- Clear understanding that implementation of security principles and tools is not “optional”

5 years minimum Experience as a Technical Program Manager delivering IT infrastructure and cloud projects with multiple stakeholders and delivery teams.
- 3 Years experience working on teams using leading cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- 3 Years exposure with UMG primary DevOps toolsets (Chef, Terraform Enterprise, Jira, Confluence, Git, Vault, Slack)
- 3 Years exposure with UMG primary serverless technologies (k8s, GKE, EKS, Lambda, RDS)
- BA or BS degree in an IT related field or an equivalent combination of formal education and applicable experience required
- MCSE, AWS, GCP and UNIX certifications strongly preferred
This is the pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay for this position: $56.25/hour - $75.00/hour
