Senior Test Analyst - SEPA Instant Payments | London | 3 days in the office

6 month contract | £600-£650 per day Umbrella/Inside IR35

Senior Test Analyst supporting a key SEPA Instant Payments transformation programme within EMEA Payment Operations.

This is a hands-on testing role focused on the end-to-end operational flows for SEPA Instant (SCT Inst), covering both customer payments and clearing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the planning and execution of business and operational testing for SEPA Instant
  • Review business requirements, acceptance criteria, scheme rules and traceability matrices
  • Create detailed test plans, scenarios and test scripts
  • Execute end-to-end testing across customer payment and clearing flows
  • Manage defects through identification, escalation, resolution and retesting
  • Work closely with Payment Operations SMEs, Business Analysts, Technology teams and vendors
  • Produce MI and reporting covering testing progress, defects, risks and issues
  • Coordinate testing activity across multiple stakeholders and project resources
  • Support operational readiness, training and pre-go-live activities
  • Ensure outstanding defects are appropriately addressed through remediation or operational controls

Key Experience Required:

  • Strong hands-on experience with SEPA Credit Transfer (SCT) and/or SEPA Instant (SCT Inst)
  • Previous experience as a Senior Test Analyst, Payments Test Analyst or Test Lead
  • Strong understanding of payment operations and end-to-end payment processing
  • Experience designing test plans, scenarios and scripts from business requirements
  • Strong defect management and stakeholder management experience
  • Experience working within banking or financial services

Desirable:

  • ISO 20022 payments experience
  • GPP/Global PAYplus or OPF experience
  • Test management tools such as Jira, ALM or Azure DevOps
  • Power BI/testing MI experience
