Millions of people across the world come to Pinterest to find new ideas every day. It’s where they get inspiration, dream about new possibilities and plan for what matters most. Our mission is to help those people find their inspiration and create a life they love. In your role, you’ll be challenged to take on work that upholds this mission and pushes Pinterest forward.

As a contract Core Brand Design Lead at Pinterest, you’ll play an integral role in shaping the next iteration of the Pinterest brand — launching global, culturally-relevant identities, campaigns and experiences at scale with a particular emphasis on brand design. The role requires passion for both leading and developing exceptional creative solutions and systems at a global scale.

What You’ll Do | Daily responsibilities

  • Evolve and elevate how Pinterest’s brand identity shows up across marketing and communications channels including campaigns, digital surfaces and live experiences.
  • Lead and create high-impact, globally recognized creative solutions that drive the business forward.
  • Collaborate with Pinterest teams (designers, art directors, writers, motion designers, producers, marketers) and partner agencies to shepherd the brand forward.
  • Deliver work that demonstrates excellence both for the Pinterest brand and the industry at large.
  • Iterate quickly and communicate ideas across various levels of fidelity, with the ability to deliver and receive feedback constructively.
  • Review and develop pixel-perfect creative deliverables. No detail goes unnoticed.
  • Facilitate critiques and brainstorming sessions.
  • Operate autonomously, anticipate next steps and feedback.
  • Balance and manage your time effectively across multiple projects.
  • Leverage AI tools to support concept development, visual exploration, production workflows and iteration, while ensuring outputs reflect Pinterest’s brand standards, originality and creative excellence.

Skills and Experience Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience with end-to-end brand design background. You are a leader and systems-thinker with the ability to think beyond pixels and design for conceptual, narrative and offline experiences.
  • Passion for leading and developing thoughtful design solutions that create a huge impact.
  • Exceptional attention to detail. You are a master of craft, composition, layout, imagery, typography, color and pacing.
  • Strong editorial design skills with an elevated eye for photography and art direction.
  • You are on top of current design and cultural trends, following the latest news in design, music, art, fashion and tech.
  • Enthusiasm for taking on new opportunities. You push the boundaries and are excited by a non-traditional approach to brand building.
  • Talent for articulating ideas. You command the room when presenting your work to cross-functional teams and executives. You have excellent written, verbal and visual communication skills.
  • Experience working quickly and efficiently. You have the ability to address and prioritize multiple projects at once.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a track record of inspiring others to achieve their best work.
  • A strong leader and collaborator: a designer with deep experience working with partners to develop concepts, through to execution.
  • Master of design tools. You are fluent with Figma and Adobe Creative Suite. After Effects a plus.
  • Ability to strategically apply AI and other emerging technologies to improve creative quality, workflow efficiency and scalability, while exercising strong taste and design judgment.

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Visual Communications, Design, Advertising, or equivalent experience.
