Pinterest Research is seeking a year-long contractor to join the team as a dedicated Research Operations Specialist. This person will report to the Research Program Manager and manage the end-to-end recruitment process for UX researchers across Research teams as well as execute on efforts to grow the in-house recruitment program. This person should have a track record of and passion for developing and rolling out high quality processes and programs to maximize the impact of Research Operations.

 

Role is U.S.-based, remote. We do not offer Visa sponsorship for this role. 

 

What you’ll do:

  • Manage end-to-end participant recruitment for multiple concurrent research projects, with a focus on monetization/B2B recruitment. Anticipate and address potential blockers while also independently resolving unexpected challenges during recruitment, to ensure a smooth experience for both researchers and participants.
  • Execute on efforts to optimize and scale our in-house recruiting program and research participant panels, with a focus on monetization/B2B research recruitment enablement.
  • Drive improvements to increase speed and quality of recruitment for diverse research needs and niche, hard-to-reach audiences, and identify additional gaps and expansion opportunities.
  • Build new methods for research recruitment for a variety of user audiences, with a focus on monetization audiences, and collaborate with internal XFN teams as needed to set up and gain approvals for new workflows.
  • Create and maintain documentation, templates, training materials, and workflows that drive standardization, knowledge sharing, and ongoing process improvement.
  • Carry out day-to-day maintenance of program operations, including recruitment trackers, participant panels, participant data management.
  • Own contract processing for third party research vendors, research tool renewals, and security reviews 

Skills

 

What we’re looking for:

  • 3-5 YOE years of experience in Research Operations with expertise in participant recruitment. Experience with B2B recruitment and/or other hard-to-reach research populations preferred.
  • Experience managing end-to-end recruitment workflows for multiple concurrent projects, including sourcing and logistics. Knowledge of research ethics, participant data management, and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) preferred.
  • Analytical and data-driven, skilled in process improvement. Knowledge of SQL, python, and/or automation tools is a plus.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and a strong communicator — able to manage multiple priorities independently and build partnerships across teams.
  • Problem solver who proactively addresses blockers and adapts quickly to new challenges.
  • Familiarity with UX research tools and third-party participant recruitment platforms (e.g., UserTesting, Dscout, Ethnio, Rally, UserInterviews)

 

Has a learner and builder mindset: Able to quickly onboard to emerging AI tools and implement them appropriately within Research Ops with a focus on decision quality, craft and efficiency
